Dresden - Paris - Basel
From Germany's east via the capital of France to "Petit Bâle"
After graduating from high school, the young Claudia moved into the theater world and was introduced to the basics of the profession as an assistant director and dramaturgy assistant at the Dresden Children's and Youth Theater. She studied theater studies for one year at the Humboldt University in Berlin, completed a degree in vocal studies at the University of Music in Dresden, took singing lessons with Christiane Hebold in Berlin (singer/songwriter), and refined her presentation techniques in French chanson in Paris. There, she worked for five years as a theater pedagogue, director, singer, and actress, primarily in close and constant collaboration with young people. She knows how to convey her high artistic standards very well through pedagogical skill and a deliberate, varied methodology. She masters the difficulties of age-mixed groups with students of differing acting experience and talent through didactically well-considered and diverse rehearsals. Since 2004, Claudia Karnos has directed many productions in the Basel region. She led singing courses at the MIGROS Club School Olten for three years, theater courses at the "Junges Theater Liechtenstein," and was available to doctoral students at the University of Basel as a freelance lecturer and coach. In 2010, Claudia Karnos founded her studio for acting, singing, and directing in Basel and has since worked successfully as an independent coach with a focus on individual coaching. In 2015, she completed the CAS diploma course "Recognizing, reducing, and avoiding malfunctions in the singing voice" at the Bern University of the Arts. Further information on Claudia's coaching activities can be found under customer testimonials.
